Increase in Quad Bike, Tractor and Horse Trailer Thefts in Hampshire Area

Please be aware of the increase in Quad bike, Tractor, and Horse Trailer thefts in Hampshire area.

Do not leave agricultural vehicles in fields overnight.
Do not leave vehicles parked out of sight (behind buildings or barns, etc).
Store agricultural vehicles in barns or yards. Block valuable vehicles in with other vehicles. If not possible, consider chaining them together and securing them to a floor-mounted securing point.
Identify and register plant/agricultural vehicles with the DVLA or, if not appropriate, with a property register such as CESAR.
Ensure plant/agricultural vehicles have a unique/single key (this could be the immobiliser key).
Ensure the vehicle cab is fitted with lockable windows.
Fit an immobiliser.
Consider GPS and VHF tracking systems, e.g. Tracker.
Fit mechanical-locking systems.
